This document outlines the policies for linking to and from the AGD Website website(s). The mission of AGD Website is to provide a single point of access to government and public information and services that is private, secure, convenient, efficient, service-oriented, and accessible to everyone.
AGD Website will use the guidelines outlined below to link to information and services in order to provide a public portal that allows citizens and businesses to quickly locate and access electronic information. This policy may be updated periodically. The current version was approved on 18 July 2008.
The AGD Website electronic framework project and the AGD Website operation of the Adjutant General’s Department were established pursuant to Subchapter I of Chapter 2054, Texas Government Code and the authority of the Adjutant General’s Department. This document is rendered in order to describe the linking practices of AGD Website.
Advance permission to link to AGD Website is not necessary. However, be aware that AGD Website subpages, including the pages of state agencies and local governments, may change at any time without notice. Entities and individuals linking to AGD Website must continuously verify links to our subpages.
Entities and individuals linking to AGD Website shall not capture AGD Website pages within frames, present AGD Website content as its own, or otherwise misrepresent AGD Website content. Furthermore, they shall not misinform users about the origin or ownership of AGD Website content. Certain information on AGD Website may be trademarked, service-marked, or otherwise protected as intellectual property. Protected intellectual property must be used in accordance with state and federal laws and must reflect the proper ownership of the intellectual property.
Any link to the AGD Website site should be a full forward link that passes the client browser to AGD Website unencumbered. The "Back" button should return the visitor to original site if the visitor wishes to back out.
